2010 Ford Edge at SEMA

The five-door Ford Edge crossover can already be optioned in Sport trim from the factory. While the package doesn’t bring any extra performance, the Edge Sport does add 20- or 22-inch wheels, a subtle body kit, and some interior tweaks. It’s a pretty attractive package that retains the Edge’s clean lines.

Westminster, California–based Santini Paint and Body didn’t think that was enough. They teamed with Steve Stanford Design to evolve the Edge from a “grocery-getter” crossover to a “coolover ” (their word, not ours). Witness the immense, 22-inch rims with super-low-profile tires, lowered suspension that will certainly have the Edge scraping speed bumps, 3dCarbon body kit, and gawky roof spoiler. It’s all finished in British Racing Green with white greenhouse accents as well as an off-center racing stripe and Mustang-esque rocker stripes. What soccer mom wouldn’t want to drive this version of the Edge? The Edge RallyE is on display at the 2009 SEMA show.
